A HISTORY OF SUCCESS
Total Wrecking has completed complex power plant demolition projects throughout the United States.
One notable project was the LG&E power plant in Louisville, Kentucky, where our team demolished turbine units using high-reach excavators and hydraulic shears while safely removing underground asbestos and supporting environmental remediation alongside the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Another major project was the Lakeland McIntosh Power Plant in Florida. The demolition included boilers, turbines, auxiliary structures, a controlled implosion of a 225-foot fossil fuel boiler, dismantling a 260-foot stack, and removal of a 90-foot Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) unit.
